On behalf of the RSA 2012 Organising Committee and the RSA Federal Board, we would like to extend a warm thank you to all who participated in the 40th RSA Annual Conference recently held in Melbourne .

The key note speakers, guest speakers and concurrent sessions all fitted with the theme of the conference; Celebrating our Culture and Diversity in Renal Care.

The keynote and guest speakers were of a high calibre and provided a wealth of information on nephrology issues and associated areas that impact on real disease and patient outcomes.

The organising committee would like to thank everyone who submitted an abstract. The quality of the submissions and professionalism with which they were delivered was impressive. A big thank you to Ann Bonner and the Scientific Review Committee who have the unenviable task each year of determining which abstracts are presented at the conference.

We look forward to seeing everyone in Hobart in 2013!
